| Field notes | Short herbs, in small clumps with 2-3 leafy shoots. Rhizome below ground surface, shoots 5-7 cm apart, bladesless sheath 2, largest 6.5-11 cm, brownish red. Petiole 17-24 cm, rounded in cross section; lamina 14-18.5 x 6-7.5 cm, asymmetric, base cordate, 2 nd veins slightly raised above. Inflorescence short, 6-7.5 cm long, head 4-4.5 cm; flowers white with yellow median band, red straks at both sides. |
