Field notes Collection sequence 10721-10751; terrestial herb; common in dark understory; leaves papyraceous, purple-green; inflorescence terminal, paniculate, all axes red; flowers entirely glabrous on outer and inner surfaces; calyx trigonous, laxly punctate, bright red, limb truncate and with 3 subtulate teeth equal in length to the tube; corolla cream or pale yellow with red apices, dorsal lobe emarginate and with a conspicuous horn inserted subapically, lateral lobes rounded and slightly shorter than the dorsal one; labellum incised to the base of the lateral corolline lobes; filaments entire, shorter than the anthercells; stigma conical, orifice ventral; fruits globose, dehiscing on 2 valves, outer surface dark-red; seeds many, arilloid orange. Flowers bottled.
