| Field notes | Solitary tree palm, stem 1.5 m until sheath of lowermost leaf, covered in persisting sheaths of fallen leaves. Crown shuttlecock-shaped with 14 leaves. Sheath ca. 2 m, leaf ca. 6-7 m incl. 2-2.5 m petiole, regularly pinnate, slightly arching, leaflets in one plane except basally; basal leaflets crowded, strongly ascending.
