| Field notes | Solitary tree palm, stem ca. 4 m x 20 cm, covered in persistent sheaths. Leaves ca. 6 m long, slightly arching, pinnate, petiole 2 m, pinae 93-94 per side, grass green with "plastic-like" texture, mostly in 1 plane byt ascending basally, tips somewhat drooping. Female individual, inflorescence interfoliar, solitary, branched to 1 order, >190 cm long, peduncle ca. 120 cm x 8 cm (at base), two large bracts of ca. 150 cm x 15 cm, ca. 100 first-order branches, pale yellow, peduncle and bracts with whitish-red indumentum.
