| Field notes | Clustering tree palm, stem to 6 m, 7 cm wide, interondes 1-2 cm, dark green, invisible when old, nodal scars pale brown. Crownshaft 0.5 m x 10 cm, 8 leaves in crown. Sheath 0.5 m, pale green. 30-35 leaflets per side, regular, leaf arching, leaflets drooping. Abaxial surface of pinnae covered in white wax-like powder. Measurements approximate.
