| Field notes | Acaulescent, solitary understorey palm, 6 leaves in crown, 5-6 multifold leaflets per side (4-9 folds each), more or less mottled, leaf 1.30m long, dark green adaxially, pale green abaxially. Sheath tubular, ea. 12cm long, cream with sparse red indumentum when young. Crownshaft 15x5cm, smooth yellowish green. (where covered in disintegrating sheaths). Inflorescence infrafoliar, cream becoming green then red towards top, branched to 1 order, 3 rachillae. |
