| Field notes | Solitary robust rattan to l0m with additional 6m of bare cane on ground. Stem: diameter with sheaths 7cm, diameter without sheaths 3cm, internode 15-20cm. Sheath: dense with brown/orange, shaggy spines. Leaf:c.5-6 m long including 3m cirrus, petiole absent. Leaflets: c.23 each side of rachis, arranged subreg-ularly. Inflorescence: 2m long, 8 partial inflorescences. Fruit lcm diameter, white when ripe, endosperm homogenous |
