| Field notes | Heath forest, steep slope, mossy, many fallen trees; high rainfall. Understorey tree palm to 4m, clustering or solitary. Internodes 10 cm. Crownshaft: 50 cm long, white indument, speckled purple/black. 5 leaves in crown. Leaf: indument along prtiole entire, bifid, blade obovate in outline, undersurface pink when just emerged. Inflorescence: all parts pink, 4 pendent branches. Fruits: cylindrical, 1 cm long, pink |
