| Field notes | Solitary tree palm to 10 m, at least 23 leaves in crown. Stem ea. 9 cm diameter near crown,. brown and woody, nodes inconspicuous. Sheaths open. Leaf recurving with ascending leaflets, 1.2 m long including 30 cm petiole, ea. 40 leaflets each side, arranged regularly, stiff. Inflorescence ea. 180 cm long, including 140 cm peduncle, ·solitary (not multiple at node), branched to 1 order, dead and dry. Degraded humid forest on steep slope. |
