| Field notes | Solitary tree palm to 7 m, 13 leaves in crown, spread along elongated crownshaft. Stem 4 cm diam. Crownshaft 100 x 4 cm, sheath ca. 30 cm long. Leaf 90 cm long including 15 cm petiole, 21 leaflets each side, arranged in fascicles in different planes. Inflorescence interfoliar, 40 cm long including 15 cm peduncle, branched to 3 orders, flower buds red. Additional fruiting materials added to collection from larger specimen adjacent. Secondary forest near stream |
