| Field notes | Clustering, high-climbing rattan to 10m. lnternodes 19-24cm. Stem ca. 1.5cm. Sheaths dark green, armed with numerous, short, orange-brown tipped spines, flagellum ca. 2m, ocrea 27-40cm long, dark purple-green when young, soon drying to brown. Leaf 70-75cm long including 20-25cm petiole. Leaflets two each side, palmately arranged at the leaf tip, leathery, cucullate, dark glossy green. Inflorescences ca. 25cm long, erect, congested. Fruit dark brown, 10x8mm. Abundant ants throughout the rattan. Growing adjacent to Baker 1394 |
