| Field notes | Very disturbed roadside vegetation. Clay. Solitary tree palm to 8m. Crownshaft 100 x 8cm, sheath 75cm long, with white-grey indumentum, sheath mouth fibrous. Leaves 9 in crown, arching, ca. 130cm long including 40cm petiole, rachis and petiole with thick indumentum of brown scales with white scales on top. Leaflets glossy, ca. 35 each side, partly regularly arranged, but with a divaricate group in the middle. Inflorescence branches to 2 orders, with ca. 27 rachillae. Fruit red, ca. 5mm diam.
