Field notes Massive, solitary rattan to c.8m. Stem diameter with sheaths 4cm, without sheaths 3cm. Sheath pale yellow-green, numerous orange spines which dry brown. Ocrea 4cm long, bilobed at apex, splitting to pair of auricles. Knee swollen. Internodes 20cm. Leaf 220cm including 20cm petiole. Leaflets 64 each side of rachis, regular. Inflorescence 196cm long, including 72cm flagelliform tip and 24cm peduncle, 6 partial inflorescences, 22cm between partial inflorescences, largest partial inflorescence 22cm long
