| Field notes | Disturbed forest on river bank. Very robust, clustering rattan to c.20m forming dense thickets on river bank with Calamus warburgii. Internodes 25cm. Stem diameter with sheaths 45mm, without sheaths 30mm. Sheath green with abundant stiff orange spines of various lengths. Knee very swollen. Flagellum robust. Leaf 250cm long, including 20cm petiole.
