Field notes Clustering rattan to c.8m. Internode 30cm. Stem with sheaths 15mm diam., without sheaths 10mm diam. Sheath dark green with numerous chestnut brown spines. Ocrea 16cm, slightly divergent from main stem, dark green and armed as sheath, inhabited by ants. Flagellum 250cm. Leaf 84cm long including 3cm petiole. Leaflets 18 each side of rachis, arranged subregularly with some divergent pairs. Inflorescence 350cm long including 70cm peduncle, with 6 partial inflorescences
