| Field notes | Solitary tree palm to c.8m. Stem 8cm diam.. Crown with 7 leaves, arranged subdistichously. Leaf sheaths with copious rust-colored felt-like indumentum. Leaf c.3m long including 1.2m petiole. Leaflets 22 each side of rachis, arranged regurlarly. Inflorescence 120cm long including 60cm peduncle, branched to 2 orders, 13 primary branches, largest primary branch 50cm long, peduncular bract 150cm long. Staminate flowers with green petals. Pistillate flowers with yellow-green petals. Fruit red, subglobose, 4cm diam. |
