Field notes Solitary, moderately robust tree palm to c.10m. Stem diameter 7cm. Internode 8.5cm. Crownshaft 70cm long x 6.5cm wide. Sheath 44cm long, light green. Crown with 12 leaves. Leaf 200cm long including 4cm petiole, rachis with easily detached grey scurfy indumentum and dark brown scales. Leaflets 14 each side of rachis, arranged regularly: Inflorescence 94cm long including 10cm peduncle, branched to 3 orders, 15 primary branches, largest 66cm long. Fruit fleshy, orange red, falling to ground when ripe, subglobose, 3.5cm long x 2.5cm wide, with white endocarp deeply lobed
