| Field notes | Solitary tree palm to c. 10 m. Stem 9 cm diam. Internodes 9-10 cm. Crownshaft poorly defined, 67 cm long x 11 cm wide. Sheath 44 cm, dark green with brown scales. Crown with 11 leaves. Leaf 180 cm including 20 cm petiole. Leaflets 36 each side of rachis, arranged regulary. Inflorescence with up to 3 spicate axes, each up to 160 cm long including c. 50 cm peduncle. Staminate petals yellow. Fruit obovoid, 4 cm long, green turning burgundy when ripe. Endosperm ruminate |
