| Field notes | Solitary tree palm to 15m. Internodes 8cm. Stem 6cm diam. Crownshaft 75cm long x 11cm wide. Sheath 64cm long with copious white wax and purple scales on sheath. Crown with 10 leaves. Leaf 140cm long including 23cm petiole. Leaflets 18 each side of rachis, subregular with a group comprising 2-3 divaricate leaflets each side of the rach is in middle of rachis. Copious white granular indumentum on rachis and petiole. Inflorescence horestail shaped with 26 rachillae. |
