Field notes Lowland tropical rainforest on alluvium at river margin. Karst limestone. Solitary tree palm 8-10m tall. Stem 9-10cm diameter. Internodes 19cm, lower internodes with small warts, upper internodes green. Crownshaft 110cm x 14cm. Sheath 100cm long, with red brown scales, especially at base. Crown with 6 leaves. Leaf 230cm long including 12cm petiole. Leaflets regular, 40 each side of rachis. Inflorescence infrafoliar, 65cm long including 10cm peduncle, branched to 1 order only, 27 primary branches, largest up to 40cm long.
