| Field notes | Solitary. Stem 6 m; diam. 47 cm, at base covered with adventitious roots for 5 cm, these 16 x 0,5 cm, upper stem covred with persistent remains of erect sheaths and petioles for 1 m; internodes 23 cm wide at base, visible as oblique rings, brown. Leaves 17; rachis twisted so pinnae apear in a vertical plane. Infructescences 2, 1 with orange fruit, 1 with brown fruits. |
