Field notes Solitary, stem 12 m tall, 14 cm diam. at base, greyish-brown, cylindrial, internode 30 cm long at base; leaf scar 2.5 cm long. These appearing as unevenly wide and oblique rings around the stem; leaves 14; leafsheath and petiole not distinguishable; sheath open at base; sheath and petiole 116 cm long, 30 cm wide at base tapering to 4x2 cm at apex, channelled above, rounded below, margins covered with fibers. Rachis 150 cm long tapering towards apex, greyish-brown Pinnae 70 cm on each side, regularly distributed along raechis, erect. Apical pinnae born at 125 cm on rachis. Pinnae at base: 36x0.2 cm, middle pinnae: 52x2.8 cm, apical pinnae: 33x1.2 cm. Infructescence interfoliar, pendulous.
