| Field notes | Epiphytic shrub 4 m tall x 5 cm diameter growing in large tree. Petioles purplish. Leaves shiny medium green above, lighter dull green beneath. Inflorescence penduloud. Pedicel and base of calyx dark green. 5-angled. Calyx fleshy, bright orange, inflated. Corolla darker orange, fleshy, lobes yellow. Pollen creamy white. Infested with biting ants. |
