| Field notes | Herb ca. 3 m in depression by rice-paddy fields wettish. Flowers upper & lower, lips yellow with reddish motting on lowers halt of throat, top tetal. Rhizome & swollen stem base with pink-dark red coloration. Fruits dark red. Rhizome whitish when cut, turning dark orange, fainthy aromatic. Rhizomes collected (Mii= 331). Local Names: Niya & Kela-niya. |
