| Field notes | Solitary understory palm. Acaulescent. Leaves 11; sheath 15 cm long, open; petiole 83 cm long, section round; rachis 66 cm long; lamina pinnate, 75 cm long, 38 cm wide, flat, glabrous; pinnae 21 per side; basal pinna 18 cm long, middle pinna 22 cm long, apical 10 cm long. Infructescence interfoliar; prophyll 15 cm long, 1.2 cm wide, herbaceous; peduncular bract 31 cm long, inserted 11 cm from base, brown, herbaceous; peduncle 44 cm long, 0.6 cm wide; spike 1.5 cm long, 0.8 cm wide.
