| Field notes | Solitary understory palm. Acaulescent. Base with few visible roots. Leaves 7; sheath 10 cm long; petiole 4 cm long, section round to margined; rachis 68 cm long; lamina entire; 91 cm long, 23 cm wide, flat, glabrous. Infructescence interfoliar; prophyll 14 cm long, 1 cm wide, brown, herbaceous; peduncular bract 25 cm long, inserted 5 cm from base, brown, herbaceous; peduncle 73 cm long, 0.7 cm wide; spike 22 cm long, 1.1 cm wide. Fruits green, 0.7 cm long, 0.6 cm wide. Silicagel sample taken. Transect: HB 769, subunit no. 1, outside transect |
