| Field notes | Solitary understory palm. Acaulescent. Leaves 16, sheath 15 cm long, open; petiole 7 cm long, section margined; rachis 70 cm long; lamina entire, 97 cm long, 22 cm wide, flat, glabrous. Infructescence interfoliar; prophyll 10 cm long, 1.8 cm wide, brown, herbaceous; peduncular bract 23 cm long, 1.3 cm wide, inserted 1 cm from base, brown, herbaceous; peduncle 66 cm long, 0.6 cm wide; spike 15 cm long 1 cm wide.
