| Field notes | Solitary understory palm. Acaulescent. Base with few visible roots. Leaves 6; sheath 13 cm long, open to closed; petiole 27 cm long, section round; rachis 36 cm long; lamina pinnate; 47 cm long, 40 cm wide, flat, glabrous; pinnae 5 per side, insertion regular; basal pinna 18.9 cm long, middle pinna 22 cm long, apical pinna 17 cm long. Inflorescence interfoliar; prophyll 9.5 cm long, 0.8 cm wide, brown, herbaceous; peduncular bract 18.5 cm long, inserted 1.5 cm from base, brown/green, herbaceous; peduncle 72 cm long, 0.4 cm wide; spike 11 cm long, 1 cm wide.
