| Field notes | Solitary understory palm. Acaulescent. Roots few visible. Leaves 10; sheath 20 cm long, closed; petiole 22 cm long; rachis 72 cm long; lamina entire, 105 cm long, 24 cm wide, flat, glabrous. Infructescence interfoliar; prophyll 8.5 cm long, 1.5 cm wide, herbaceous; peduncular bract 18 cm long, 1 cm wide, inserted 2 cm from base, brown, herbaceous; peduncle 50 cm long, 0.5 cm wide; spike 15 cm long, 1.2 cm wide. Fruits black, 1.3 cm long, 1.3 cm wide. Silicagel sample taken. Transect: HB 759, subunit no. 8, inside transect |
