| Field notes | Solitary understory palm. Acaulescent. Leaves 6-9; sheath 15 cm long, open; petiole 20 cm long, section round to margined; rachis 102 cm long; lamina entire; 135 cm long, 26 cm wide, flat, glabrous. Inflorescence interfoliar; prophyll 6 cm long, 1.4 cm wide, brown, herbaceous; peduncular bract 26 cm long, inserted 2 cm from base, brown, herbaceous; peduncle 82 cm long, 0.7 cm wide; spike 16 cm long, 1 cm wide.
