| Field notes | Solitary understory palm. Acaulescent. Leaves 9; sheath 16 cm long, open; petiole 18 cm long, section round; rachis 65 cm long; lamina entire; 90 cm long, 20 cm wide, flat, glabrous. Infructescence interfoliar; prophyll 4 cm long, 1.5 cm wide, papery; peduncular bract 32 cm long, inserted 3 cm from base, brown, papery; peduncle 53 cm long, 0.5 cm wide; spike 17 cm long, 0.9 cm wide. Fruits immature, green, 0.8 cm long, 0.6 cm wide. Silicagel sample taken. Transect: HB 746, subunit no. 1, inside transect |
