| Field notes | Terrestrial along road banks; internodes short, 7 cm diam. with brown leaf bases persisting; petioles sheathed to middle, obtusely flattened adaxially, medium green, weakly glossy, weakly and obscurely ribbed adaxially, unmarked; blades thinly coriaceous, dark green and semiglossy above, moderately paler and matte below; major veins obtusely sunken and concolorous above, round-raised, matte and slightly paler below; tertialy veins moderately obscure above, weakly raised and concolorous below; inflorescences 4 per axil; peduncles 34 cm long, 2.3 x 1.3 cm diam., prominent y flattened on one side, medium green, weakly glossy; spathe 19.5 cm long, tube 5.5 cm long, 4 cm diam., medium green at base, dark violet-purple in upper 2/3 outside, dark violet-purple and glossy inside; spathe blade 14 cm long, greenish white and matte outside, and glossy inside; male spadix 15 cm long; sterile male part 2.3 cm long, 2.0 cm diam.; female spadix pale yellow. |
