| Field notes | Appressed epiphyte; internodes to 1.5 cm long, 3 cm diam., with browinsh periderm; petioles medium green with maroon lines, terete, narrowly and more or less acutely sulcate; dark maroon at apex; blades semiglossy, markedly bicolorous; minor veins distinct below; inflorescence 1 per axil; peduncle medium green with maroon lines; spathe dark green outside on tube, bright cherry-red on tube with blades pale green (maroon short-lineate throughtout); pistils greenish-white; the stigmas reddish; male spadix white |
