Field notes Epiphyte; internodes short, 3-5 cm diam.; Cataphylls subcoriaceous, persisting semi-intact and reddish-brown at apex; petioles subterete, sharply & narrowly concave-sulcate, many sharply ribbed circumferentially (ca. 15), brittle; Blades subcoriaceous, semiglossy, weakly bicolorous; Midrib bluntly acute above, almost acute below (the two sides convex, but with an acute rib or edge); Primary lateral veins narrowly acute both sur-faces, moderately paler below; Tertiary veins in part sunken above, raised below; Spathe light green, spreading; Spadix red, the fruits early emergent, whitish in lower 2/3, red-violet at apex; Seeds 2.5 mm long.
