| Field notes | Epipetric, growing in dense stand over huge debris-covered boulder; internodes to gray-green becoming minutely fissured transversely; flowering stems 1.5 -3.0 cm diam, not noticeable flattened on one side; catahyll green, sharply 2-ribbed, deciduous; petiole spongy, obtusely flattened adaxially, densely dark green, short-lineate with a dense purple ring at apex; blades weakly coriaceous, semiglossy, moderately bicolorous, dark green above; midrib flat, concolorous above, slightly thicker than broad below, slightly paler, dark short-lineate, primary lateral veins narrowly sunken above, convex and darker below; minor veins visible; inflorescences 1-2 per axil; peduncle dark green, semiglossy; spathe tube semiglossy, the tube medium green, scarcely constricted, the green fading imperceptibly with the greenish-white of blade, inner surface light green, maroon at base; female spadix light green, 12 mm diam. |
