| Field notes | Climbing (though partially fallen) rattan to 25m; internode length 35cm; leaf sheath to 1.2cm in diameter, with conspicuous knee and sharp, stiff spines; ochrea to 18cm, papery, persistent; leaves 70cm long; leaflets 2 x 29, to 25cm x 2.5cm, subregulary arranged in 3 fascicles (leaflets in the middle group have 'sub-butterfly' arrangement), lamina with soft hairs adaxially; flagellum 2m long; male inflorescences to 2.5m, branching to 3 orders, flowers at anthesis, yellow-green |
