Field notes Terrestrial; internodes ca. 1 cm long; cataphylls weathering to white fibers; petioles terete, obtusely sulcate; blade ovate, widest below middle, semicoriaceous, dark green, matt above; light green, strongly velvety below; midrib wide, convexly raised above and below; basal veins and major prim. lateral veins raised above and below; collective vein sunken above, raised below, 3-5 mm from margin; peduncle as long as petiole, triangular-terete, slightly ribbed; spathe green, recurved; stipe 3-5 mm long; spadix yellowish-green.
