Field notes Epiphyte; internodes 5 cm long, to 5 cm diam.; cataphylls persisting semi-intact or as light brown to green fibers; petioles terete, obtusely sulcate, more than 150 cm long; leaves semicoriaceous, ovate, velvety on both sides, dark green above, lighter green below, sinus parabolic; midrib, basal veins and prim. lateral veins convexly raised above and below; collective vein and sec. & tert. veins sunken above, raised below; collective vein 1-3 mm from margin; peduncles ca. 30 cm long, terete; spathe green, pendent, oblong; stipe 1-3 cm long; spadix green-brown with light brown flowers, cylindric; berries green.
