Field notes Epiphyte; internodes 4 cm long; cataphylls persisting intact, weathering dark brown; petioles terete, green; geniculum 4 cm long, blackish; blade ovate-oblong, semicoriaceous, dark green, glossy above, light green, glossy below; midrib convexly raised above, acutely raised below with 1-3 ribs; basal veins convexly raised above; prim. lateral veins raised above and below; sec. veins and collective vein sunken above, raised below, collective vein 1-2 mm from margin; peduncle terete, often blackish-green; spathe green to cream, ovate, shorter than spadix; spadix ± sessile, white, turning brown, tapered; berries green.
