| Field notes | Climbing hemiepiphyte, partly creeping; internodes ca. 3 cm long, or much longer when creeping; no sap; cataphylls persisting intact, grayish brown, membranaceous; petioles ± terete (juvenile petioles obtusely sulcate), striated, succulent; blade ovate (juvenile leaves oblong), coriaceous, dark green, matt above; light green, matt below; midrib flat to weakly convex above, U-shaped, striated below; prim. & sec. lateral veins sunken above, raised below; tert. veins only visible on lower surface; 1-2 inflorescences per axil, ± sessile; spadix cream to green. |
