Field notes "Terrestrial; internodes 7 cm long, dark green; cataphylls persisting as white fibers; petioles terete, slightly flattened adaxially, ca. 45 cm long; geniculum 1.5 cm long; blade trisect, bullate, semicoriaceous, dark green above, light green below; leaflets with short petiolule; midrib and basal veins slightly raised above, raised below; prim. lateral and collective veins sunken above, raised below."
