Field notes Terrestrial; internodes 1 cm, cataphylls persisting as brown/white fibers; petioles 10-17 cm long, V-shaped, obtusely sulcate or with obtuse rib adaxially; lamina elliptic, widest at middle, dark green, glossy above, pale green, glossy below, semicoriaceous, base cuneate; midrib convexly raised above, acutely triangular below; prim. and sec. lateral veins raised above, sunken below; collective vein 8 mm from margin; peduncle almost twice as long as petioles, terete, 3 mm diam., spathe short, half as long as spadix, green; stipe 2 mm long; spadix 6 cm long, 4 mm diam., cylindric.
