Field notes Terrestrial; internodes short; petioles more than 60 cm long, terete; geniculum 1 cm long, light green; blade directed at 90° angle to petiole, narrow ovate, widest below middle, coriaceous, base cuneate, apex acute; midrib convexly raised on both sides; collective vein 0.5 cm from margin, sunken above, raised below; prim. lateral veins slightly sunken towards margin above, raised below; peduncle terete, 2/3 as long as petiole; spathe short, ovate, half as long as spadix, green; stipe 1-3 mm long; spadix 8.5 cm long, green, tapered.
