Field notes Climbing hemiepiphyte; internodes short; cataphylls persisting, weathering brown; petioles U- or V- shaped, acutely sulcate with sharp margins; geniculum 2 cm long; blade elliptic, widest at middle, coriaceous, dark green above, lighter green below; midrib raised above, U-shaped below, two ""melastome-like"" collective veins; prim. lateral, sec. lateral & collective veins deeply sunken above, raised below.
