Field notes "Subrosulate epiphyte; stem short; internodes short; cataphylls persisting as dense mass of light brown fibres; petioles 25-80 cm long, terete, not or slightly sulcate adaxially; blade less than twice as long as wide, ovate-triangular, coriaceous, semiglossy above, ± matt below, medium green; midrib and basal veins raised below, sunken above; collective veins ± close to margin; geniculum and basal veins often red; midrib and prominent veins pale green; sinus between basal lobes parabolic; peduncle slender, half as long as petiole; spathe withish, ovate, acuminate, erect, ca. 7 cm long; stipe 1.5 cm long, cuneate adaxially, bulged; spadix light green, tapered, 7 cm long, directed at 90° angle to peduncle."
