Field notes "Climbing hemiepiphyte; internodes 4-10 cm long, dark green to brown; cataphylls persisting as fibres; petioles terete, shallowly sulcate, 25-45 cm long, dark green to brown; geniculum to 2.5 cm long, often blackish; lamina cordate, semi-coriaceous, matt, dark green on upper surface, ligther below; midrib convex above, prominently raised below; prim. & sec. lateral veins & collective vein sunken above, raised below; sinus between basal lobes ovate, peduncle terete; spathe ovate, acute, green, striated, with reddish margins, directed at 90° angle to peduncle; stipe 1 cm, diameter as peduncle; spadix tapered, 7 cm long, as long as spathe, green."
