Field notes epiphyte; internodes short; petioles terete, fibrous, sheathed to 1/4 of their length; lamina palmatifid, leaflets deeply lobed; midribs and major veins obtusely prominent on both surfaces; secondary & tertiary veins sunken on upper, raised on lower surface; lamina semiglossy; leaflets more or less sessile; peduncle terete, very stiff; spathe ~5o cm long, spreading, purple, dark veins obscurely raised onlower surface; spathe margins meeting at 180°, overlapping; spadix ~35 cm, tapered, brown with purple berries
