| Field notes | Subcanopy palm with trunk to 3 m. Leaf sheaths completely surround the stem. Leaflets dark green above, pale green below. c. 10 leaflets per leaf and fan apex. Petioles brown hairy. Immature fruits yellow, mature fruits briht red, to 2.1 x 1.4 cms. |
