| Field notes | Large tree, 50 m tall, 187 cm diam; bark dark brown, scaly (but smooth on smaller trees); young wood is whitish; leaves opposite, 3 -nerved, pale below, putting out flowers same time as flushing new leaves over most of tree; parts of tree has older leaves with round hard green fruit, 1 cm diam., but most of tree is in flower now; another tree (66 cm in diam.) nearby is flushing new leaves but not flowering, though judging from seedlings below, it has flowered other years; flowers yellow-green, somewhat sweet sticky fragrance, 3 petals, stamens yellow-green; sweet sticky fragrance; trail 3.1.
