| Field notes | Single to 4-stemmed palm; stems 80-120 cm long, essentially unarmed (i.e., with very few spines) to spiny, some stems spiny in some places, not in others; leaves 3-6 per adult, petioles and rachises spiny, blades 2 to 8-pinnate; flowers green; mature fruit orange, more or less globose, with a beaked apex, 7-8 mm in diameter. |
